JARS

Back

Jar, 1969. Made in Rose Park, Adelaide. Stoneware. the surface effect comes from vitreous engobes. (An engobe is sometimes described as a 'dry' glaze.) I 'threw' the pot then tore and folded the top. It is in the collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia. Photo AGSA.

Jar form, made in 1973, 31.5 cms tall. It was made in the Adelaide Rose Park workshop and is now in the collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia. Stoneware, gas-fired, the top part of the pot is affected by the fine vapours of a lightly-applied ash glaze.
