This is a chawan in the Korean style. Jaspanese tea masters are very concerned about the colour of a bowl, as to whether it is appropriately sympathetic when used with the unusual colour of the 'matcha' the powdered tea. I rather thought there would be no disharmony in the colour of this bowl.
